How much does a custom glass wine cellar cost?
Custom wine cellars cost are all over the place on cost we have installed them as low as $7-800 and as high as $30-40K It just really depends on the design and look that you are going after. The best thing is that there is a price point for everyone and they all look amazing with a lifetime warranty.
Will a glass wine cellar keep my wine at the right temperature?
We can do a wine cellar both refrigerated or non-refrigerated depending on what you would like.
What kind of glass do you use?
For the wine room most of them are 3/8″ or 1/2″ Clear Tempered with Low Iron Glass to take the green tint, ensuring the wine room displays as clearly as possible.
Can you convert a closet or space under my stairs into a wine cellar?
Converting a closet or space under the stairs are very easy to do. We work with alot of contractors to get the space ready for glass. But to answer that question, we have not found a space we can’t work with.
How large can the glass door be?
The Glass door can be a single door up to 40″ wide, and we can do any height up to 140″. However, most wine rooms are a double door system to make the space to get all the wine and racks into the space easier. Alot of times we end up doing 2 30″ doors for a 60″ door opening.
How long does installation take?
The process is very easy: we come out, give you a free estimate, go over all the designs, and take final measurements. From the time of the deposit we install everything within 2 weeks.
Does the glass need to be UV-protected?
Most of the time the glass doesn’t need UV protection; that is very rare that it does.
Will condensation form on the glass?
Usually, even in a refrigerated interior wine room, there won’t be any condensation buildup because the temperature won’t be that different. So I would say no to the condensation.
How do I clean a glass wine cellar?
Cleaning is very easy—that’s the best part, Most of the time, it’s completely frameless and its just glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth will do the job.
