We build them from 3/8″ or 1/2″ tempered glass, which is what gives the panels enough rigidity to stand on their own hinges. Although clear glass is the standard, there are several glass options available to personalize the glass in your frameless shower door/enclosure, including:
- Ultra-clear (low-iron) glass — standard glass carries a faint green tint that reads against white tile. Low-iron glass doesn’t. If your bathroom is white marble or any pale tile, this is the upgrade worth paying for.
- Rain — vertical texture, heavy privacy, popular in guest baths.
- Satin / acid-etched — soft look with full privacy, no pattern.
- Obscure — patterned privacy glass.
